How can you make your bachelorette party stand out? One great theme is the black and white bachelorette party. Color is a great way to signify and unify the bridesmaids and the bachelorette at the party, especially if you are going out on the town. It is fun to have the bridesmaids all dress in black (or some other color, such as red) and have the bachelorette dress in white. A great way to do this is have the bride wear a white blouse or dress and the bridesmaids all wear black cocktail dresses. Another great party game for a night out on the town is to play rate the men. You can prepare cards with numeric values (one through ten) and phrases like "not my type," or "needs some work." Then, as you talk to guys at a local bar, you can have all the girls give him a rating card. If you are poolside or at a restaurant for dinner, watch guys walk by and have each girl hold up her card to rate him. It is hilarious game that incorporates both the girls attending the party and passers by so it is always interesting! Another great theme, especially for girls who are marrying men in the military, is a GI Jane theme. A GI Jane bachelorette party shows support for the troops and is fun to boot! Everyone can dress up in military garb, including camouflage or other items you can find at a military surplus store. Other commercially available bachelorette party games include pin the penis on the man, like pin the tail on the donkey. There are also ring toss games available called pecker toss where girls at the bachelorette party toss rings on to a plastic penis. For a classic theme, especially with a bride you have known since childhood, dress the entire bachelorette party as naughty school girls. If you want attention when you are out, nothing gets more second looks than school girl outfits. Think Britney Spears when she first hit the music scene, plaid skirts, pigtails, and light classic makeup. You can also play songs that fit the theme of the night, like School's Out for Summer, some Britney Spears music, and anything else that mentions school. Just like the popular reality television show, you can throw a bachelorette party Amazing Race. The bachelorette and her friends can split off into teams or groups, and go on a scavenger hunt at all your favorite bars or city landmarks. A small, intimate, at home bachelorette party may be the perfect solution for making the bride feel as though this right of passage has upheld her beliefs and allowed her to remain true to herself. Bachelorette parties can be whatever you want them to be!
